Le Vieux Presbytère Museum, located at 205 Rue Iry Lejeune in Church Point, cordially invites the public to two upcoming Mardi Gras events:

First, at 6pm on Thursday, February 9, the museum will publicly unveil its display of award-winning Courir de Mardi Gras costumes worn by Cary Lejeune over his forty-eight years of chasing chickens in the annual Courir in Church Point.

Next, from 11am until 3pm on Sunday, February 19, Mardi Gras Sunday in Church Point, the Presbytère will host an open house.  Visitors will be able to peruse our extensively updated exhibits and will find the museum an ideal place to enjoy the town’s annual Mardi Gras parade.

Admission to both events is free, but donations are accepted.  Le Vieux Presbytère is also open to the public Saturdays from 11am until 2pm and at other times by appointment.   For further information, please contact curator Harold Fonte at 337-384-7993 or at hjfonte@gmail.com.
