Church Point is a town on the cusp of becoming a small city. With growth, there are growing pains. My vision for our town is to embrace this growth with transparency, with effectiveness, and with unity. We have several large economic drivers here, Church Point Wholesale, Richard’s Sausage, and our hospital just to name a few, which are unique to a town our size. Sustainability with qualified employees, continued great products and top notch healthcare are major drivers for expansion and a sustained economy. Our town offers affordable housing and cost of living experiences, a very involved and active Police Department, a very well maintained infrastructure, and an environment that promotes a great quality of life for its citizens and future citizens. Our Courier de’ Mardi Gras is one of the few traditional events left in this area, and attracts thousands every year. Our Cajun Woodstock not only promotes traditional Cajun Music, but its sole benefit is to send much needed money to St. Jude’s Hospital every year. Our town offers visitors a museum, dining, shopping, and specialty meats that make up Cajun Country. Plans for our future are grand! Upgrades to our Park and Recreation facilities, plans for a new family friendly park and entertainment complex, upgraded street lighting and utility improvements and so much more are on the horizon, and myself along with your council are working hard to make these dreams reality! I am proud to be your Mayor! I am proud and excited to watch Church Point grow to the heights and measures we have all dreamed it could reach! I ask you to proudly stand with me and watch us grow, watch us prosper and watch us become the gem of Acadia Parish, of Acadiana and beyond!
